Last night’s game was electric! Running neck and neck the Knightmares and the Dark Knights traded points at an even pace through most of the night. It came down to the last man in the last fight as Knightmares grabbed the win by one point in overtime. The Knightmares victory has them “crushing it” in first place. Mastiffs are still hanging on in second place but their silver is temporary with no other scheduled matches for the season. Dark Knights drop back to third, but with their upcoming match, September 7th, with the New Haven Highlanders, they could easily sweep into second place creeping them up on last season’s Champions, The Nashua Knightmares. With these new developments the Warlords are holding fast onto 4th with the Monarchs pushed back to 5th. But three time Champions, The Monarchs, are hardly calling it quits. They have more events scheduled and are itching to gain back lost ground. The Sentinels, Highlanders, San Jacinto Knights and the Thunderbirds have all sadly sunk down into sixth place. Slim prospects of future events has only the Highlanders, (with their match on September seventh) getting a chance to crawl out of last place. Chapter Wars will run though the end of October so teams still have a chance to get new events scheduled. It’s going to come down to who wants it the most in this season of Chapter Wars.
